About ProxyPattern

Software should compound in value, not decay.

ProxyPattern is a software architecture studio. We started with one premise: companies don't just need code typed out. They need senior engineering judgment.

01 // Origin Story

Why ProxyPattern Exists

After ten years building platforms, rewriting legacy monoliths, and debugging cloud backends, we kept hitting the same wall.

Growing engineering teams were drowning in microservice sprawl, heavy gem dependencies, 30-minute test suites, and temporary hacks. Feature delivery slowed to a crawl. Meanwhile, traditional agencies billed by the hour, profiting from the exact complexity that broke the code.

We built ProxyPattern as the antidote: direct architectural leadership, clean system design, and zero timesheet padding.

02 // Core Lessons

What We Have Learned

  • The most expensive code is the code you didn't need: Good engineering means knowing what not to build. Deleting moving parts beats adding microservices every time.
  • Determinism before probability: Fix database indexes, queries, and algorithms before reaching for an LLM.
  • Boring stacks win: Stable tools—Next.js, TypeScript, Rails, PostgreSQL, Redis—outperform fragile trendy frameworks when configured properly.

Why the name ProxyPattern?

In object-oriented design, a Proxy Pattern wraps around an object to control access, handle heavy setup, and intercept complexity. As your engineering proxy, we take over high-risk database migrations, audit codebases, and unblock product releases.
